DOWNTIME

The following rules apply to the things that occur between jobs in Interface Zero (healing, advancement, cost of living):

Minor Downtime [around a week]

Physical/Mental/Systems Consequences:

  • Minor and Major Consequences clear.
  • Severe (P) Consequences downgrade (Difficulty 4).

Social Consequences:

  • Minor Consequences clear.

Advancement:

  • You may modify an existing Aspect.

Upkeep:

  • Refresh
  • (5 + Lifestyle) + Modifiers

 

Major Downtime [around a month]

Physical/Mental/Systems Consequences:

  • Minor and Major Consequences clear.
  • Severe (P) Consequences downgrade (no roll).
  • Extreme (P) Consequences downgrade (Difficulty 6).

Social Consequences:

  • Minor and Major Consequences clear.
  • Severe (P) Consequences downgrade (Difficulty 4).

Advancement (as above plus):

  • You may lower an Ability by one and raise another by one.
  • You may completely replace an Aspect.
  • Gain 5 xp.

Upkeep:

  • Refresh
  • (6 + Lifestyle) + Modifiers

 

Serious Downtime [around three months]

Physical/Mental/Systems Consequences:

  • Minor, Major, and Severe (P) Consequences clear.
  • Extreme (P) Consequences downgrade (no roll).

Social Consequences:

  • Minor and Major Consequences clear.
  • Severe (P) Consequences downgrade (no roll).
  • Extreme (P) Consequences downgrade (Difficulty 6).

Advancement (as above plus):

  • You may liquidate an Advantage.
  • Gain 5 xp.

Upkeep:

  • Refresh
  • (7 + Lifestyle) + Modifiers

XP Costs:

  • Purchase a new Specialty Aspect [5 XP].
  • Purchase a new Character Aspect [10 XP].
  • Purchase an Advancement Point [10 XP].

 

Healing “On the Job”

  • Physical, Mental, and Systems stress boxes, as well as Minor Consequences, clear at the end of a scene.  This represents injured people performing basic first aid and repairs to their augmentations.  If time or necessity prevents this they do not clear.

    I would say Major downtime. Arti will be spending time with Hal researching data from our first job, trying to detemine the identity of the nefarious corporate sniper.

They know that Pimp Limp was involved and so he’s laying low… Now, not only am I trying to find more info on that sniper for Cat Scratch and trying to figure out what Nova Personnel had in that crate, i gotta try and get in to Boston and wipe that shit…
